Ok - with the detection pages you have sent - we are not comparing like wit like.

They describe Flash and AJAX computability issues with IE 7.

OK - so the security issue is that the browser wished to see Media Player 6.4 or above....
Are you clients using IE8 - This is a new issue so something must be up.

Wanna help - lets nail the root cause first,

Hi again ,
it happens in ie7 as well but when we use a normal Media player code it's not asking the user to approve

Do these demonstrations work for you?

http://www.aspnet-video.com/aspnetvideo_Demonstration-Hello-World-ASP-NET-Windows-Media-Player.aspx

They work fine for me in IE 8.

A: make sure you have the full release of the browser (not the beta, which had numerous problems).

B: install the WMP plugin for IE 8.

if neither of those work, try adding this tag to your page header:

Code:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=7" />

to the top of the page. it tells IE8 to render the page as if it is IE7, which makes perfect sense to do, since otherwise you're looking at adding another browser you need to perfect your css/xhtml for. This way, you just have to really nail FireFox/IE6/IE7 and you're good to go.

Have you tried clicking on the top bar to allow the add-on "Windows Media Player Extension"?

Hi Dave ,

I think you didn't understand me , when user clicks on the bar everything is good and works but the problem is WHY the bar appears in the first place THIS IS A BUG , because users simply leave the page in the second that they see this message , simply they don't try running the bar , WE LOSE CUSTOMERS BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM .

HELP> :-(

We Understand the aspnetmedia decided not to support there paying customer , We have find a bug in this component now it's officail , ASPNETMEDIA VIDEO CORE CODE COMPONENT is old and needs to be updated , it's such a shame really this product could
be the next asp.net video components , but it seems that :
1) the product is not being updated as promised in the site .
2) support it's not present when you need it ( as you can see )

Dave - what can I say
We have been extremely remiss about this.
I have been away - and did not empower my colleagues to work on this type of bug sufficiantly.

You have every right to be frustrated and 100% POd with us. We can do better.

Ill get on it this morning.

Dear Jake ,

Please Please fix this bug and also send us the dll for playlist entryption so that we will deliver the mony that we agreed to pay , but first if you just fix this bug you have no idea what it does to us we simply stoped using this component in our projects becuase phone never stoped ringing since users simply don't see the video .

Waiting for your answer.

Dave - the update is done and is being published.
We have attempted to squash all known issues - and implemented many feature requests - including obfuscation of GUI playlist filenames in the HTML source.

It will be free to you and everyone else... there will be no cost implication for you.

WOW Really ...!?

We Will place a new developer license for your hard work we understand that time cost money but please keep that in mind that we there is a problem someone needs to support the product otherwise doesn't matter how good the software is without support it's useless .

When you think that we can upgrade our project and feedback you ..!?

Thanks David

Just finished a major update to ASPNetMedia
You will need to re-download all of your ASPNetMedia components.(Sorry)

It covers all of our confirmed issues and many feature requests too.

Flash Video Now Plays MP4s
ASPNetFlashVideo now supports H.264 wen video - including MP4 and Quciktime playback using this codec.
It fully supports HTTP and RMTP streaming too.
